Volunteer Teachers Friendly Social Interaction Computer Workshops

We have ten monthly meetings on the second floor of Carlson Center on the 2nd Friday of the month from 1:30pm to 4:00 pm Our experienced teachers bring their own expertise on subjects taught in the Computer lab. We Gather socially once a month on the fourth Friday for a luncheon and answer computer related Questions
Our workshop sizes are small with helpers to make the learning experience a positive one,with properly paced lesson plans
SenCom is an organization of seniors (50 plus) who choose to develop skills that allow them to use E-mail,Safely Surf the Net,Google,use Word Processing, and do many other computer tasks 
We have an up to date lab with 8 XP and 6 Windows 7 machines for hands on use. the Instructor also has each of his machines connected to a projector so the students can follow along on the screen 
We meet at First Watch 11112 Shawnee Mission Parkway at11:45 to about 1:45 where we share ideas, news, and resolve members computer problems in a very informal setting. members participate in a free lunch drawing 
Our computer lab is in conjunction with 50 Plus a division of Johnson County Parks and Recreation.The moneys generated from our Workshop fees and and Membership dues provide up to date computers and software for our lab
